Concept

This is my first time creating a 3D Automobile. It was supposed to be a taco food truck but later I decided it to be a Filipino food truck serving delis served during fiestas. It took me a while to decide on the menu. But since I grew up with a Hispanic culture of fiesta, I decided to include cuisines during our town fiesta.

Parts of a Food Truck

The parts of the food truck are the exterior, kitchen and counter

Exterior

The exterior is composed of hood, driver’s seat and the back seat. The exterior is simple and boxy. Although there’s no driver’s seat yet because it may consume a lot of time. But next time I will work on it.

Kitchen

The kitchen is composed of a grill, gas stove, oven and fridge. The grill has the famous Filipino longanisa. This longganisa is the fat one with a sweet taste. I also spend time cutting it on top because it is the usual way to cook it. There are also fried eggs on the rill

In the gas stove, there are 2 Lapu-lapu or grouper fishes. It lacks texture because in real life it has dots on its body. It is cooked in the frying pan beside an aluminum pot.

The fridge is just a back box. In my precious fridges, they are opened. But this time it’s closed because it may consume a lot of time to create content.

Counter

In the counter, there is the classic thermos and coffeecups, food containers with classic special Filipino food such as Menudo, Tinumis, Adobo and Afritada. The menudo and adobo have potatoes while the afritada has green peas. They have lots of sauce and how to create this is to simply use Blender Shade effects such as Voronoise, Noise, Texture Coordinate, Mapping, Bump & Color Mix. There’s also a rice cooker because we have a saying in Filipino that “rice is life.”

On the shelves there are vegetable boxes that contain tomatoes, potatoes and carrots. These are usually used as add-ons to meat cuisine in the Philippines. There are also food packaging, rootbeer and crates.

Conclusion

The real challenge of creating this food truck is the texture and organic shape of food. Food may have geometric shapes but they are not symmetrical. They also have different textures which makes the file heavier. And even if I spent lots of time creating the details, it is very rewarding because it seems that my Youtube channel gained its momentum. After a long dry spell, it reached 1K + views on Shorts. After this, I decided to focus on 3D Automobiles, especially that I love to travel.
