3D Blender: Taqueria Kiosk

Tool: 3D Blender. The theme was inspired by the avocado season in the Philippines and the 3D artist indulgence for nachos and guacamole.

I haven’t been to Mexico but other than Filipino food, Mexican food is my favorite. So far what I tasted are tacos, burritos and quesadillas. If there’s a historical belief or even stereotype that the culture of Mexico is similar if not the same, then where are the tacos here in the Philippines? If you want Mexican food then you might as well do-it-yourself because you could hardly find one. Thanks to Tiktok I can create by own tacos and quesadillas.

Anyway, I made this 3D Taqueria kiosk or food stall during the time of avocado season. If there’s avocado, I can finally make a guacamole - by which I’m the only one in my whole clan that eats it in an enchilada way. In the Philippines, avocado is eaten as a dessert. Filipinos put condensed milk or sugar inside the freezer and eat it as an alternative to ice cream. My version is a guacamole with the usual tomatoes, salt, onion, pepper and oregano. I paired it with nachos and I’m in heaven.

Probably with too much king-size nachos, it moved to create this 3D Taqueria kiosk. Since I’m a fan of Mexican travel vloggers often shooting in Michoachan and Coyoacan, I have good reference for the utensils used. I notice that traditional Mexican cooks use claypots and cajete. Claypots can be used for cooking barbacoa and other meat delis while cajete is used for crushing tomatoes and other ingredients for salsa. I was so amazed on how they used these tools as if they’ve been using them since the time of the Aztecs.

Parts of a Taqueira Kiosk

Cooking Area

The cooking area includes grills for cooking meat and taco. The barbecue grill uses charcoal or carbon for grilling meat. I actually forgot to create texture with fire. The flat aluminium one has tacos on it. There are also fridge and crates at the back.

Counter

For the counter there are pots that contain condiments such as guacamole, crumbling cheese, salsa rojo and salsa verde. Then there is a large cajete that contains barbacoa.

Dining Area

The dining area has wooden tables and chairs. I tried to make the lighting area yellow to make it appear nighttime.

Texture

Before I created the models I created the texture first. It’s my first time to apply texture and it really creates a big difference. Texture is one of the elements of art that’s why it creates a big impact on the audience. So far I’m very happy on how my 3D Taqueria turned out.
